How can I join Muslim Nannies DIY Service?

Submit an application! Once approved, you can create your account.

Are all providers Muslim?

No they are not. Muslim Nannies does not discriminate based on religion or any other protected status. All positions through Muslim Nannies are open to qualified providers, regardless of their religious or non religious backgrounds.

How many years of experience must a Sitter or Nanny have join Muslim Nannies DIY Service?

Providers must be at least 18 years old and have at least 1 year of childcare experience. For Nannies, experience must be professional and for Sitters it can be family or friends related.

Do I have to pay to use Muslim Nannies DIY Service?

Our basic account is free! If you would like to upgrade and contact families even before they post a job, there is a small fee. Visit here for current rates.

Is the upgraded subscription recurring?

Yes, it is. However, you can cancel at anytime. It must be at least 3 days prior to your next subscription period.

Will I be refunded for the remainder of my subscription if I cancel before the period ends?

No, there are no refunds.

Do all Nannies + Sitters have to be authorized to work in the US?

Yes, All must be authorized to work in the US.

Are all Nannies + Sitters Infant and Child CPR/First Aid Certified?

No, they are not. This is only a requirement with our Agency Service. Please visit the profile of the provider you are interested in for their certification status.

Is a Nanny or Sitter considered my employee and not contractor?

Yes, according to the IRS they are! We are happy to set up a free consultation so you can better understand your tax obligations and employer responsibilities.

Should I provide benefits?

Yes, you should! It is an industry standard for Nannies to earn vacation, sick/personal time and holidays. Some families provide health insurance stipends and gas reimbursement as well! In DC and in Montgomery County MD, it is legally required to provide Nannies with sick time based on hours worked.

Do you have a lot of Candidates for this service?

Candidates come and go based on their availability. New candidates join each week! We encourage you to register and take a look for yourself.

How do you screen Candidates? Do you accept everyone?

No, we do not accept everyone. Each candidate must complete an application or submit their resume + cover letter. If they move on to the next step, they will interview with a member of our team.  Lastly, they must be authorized to work in the US. If a member upgrades, they can request a background check and reference check of a candidate they are interested in hiring. If they are interested in hiring more than one candidate, there will be a $10 cost for each additional check.
