Khadijah Abdullah is the Founder and CEO of Muslim Nannies™. A former Nanny and mother to a beautiful daughter, Khadijah knows first hand the challenges of finding quality care. She created this platform with a family like you in mind, to connect families with nannies who share the same values and beliefs.
Saadia Alam, Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Saadia is a mother of two who also works full-time at the United States Pharmacopeia as a Chemical Safety Information Specialist. She had a challenging time finding reliable childcare for her two children, so she understands the stress and anxiety many families go through in order to find dependable care. With her years of experience going through various childcare options, from daycares to in-home nannies to babysitters, she developed a keen eye for finding trustworthy service. Saadia is eager to use her expertise with the Muslim Nannies™ team to support and encourage families to find their match.
Leila Seif, Client Services Coordinator
Leila is a mother of 4 and Owner of “Lutique” an online boutique. She is completing her degree in Early Childhood Education. Leila knows first hand the stress of finding an excellent Nanny. This is why she is dedicated in placing the right Nanny for families in need. Leila has been working for Muslim Nannies™ since February 2017 as an Event Sitter and became a Client Services Coordinator in October 2017. Leila loves seeing the joy and relief that families have once Muslim Nannies™ find, not just a Nanny, but a valuable addition to their family.

Elaine has experience as a birth doula, a postpartum doula, a nanny, a special education teacher, and an event coordinator. In addition, she is a dedicated mother of 3 beautiful children. She knows the value of excellence in childcare—that any time spent with children should be purposeful, intentional, and fun. She brings her experience, creativity, outgoing personality, organizational skills, and love for families to the Muslim Nannies™ team. Eylem Sahin, Placement Counselor
Eylem is a Doctor of Psychology and worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital for several years where she has received many awards and recognitions for her work. She also has a master’s degree in education and years of experience as an instructor and educational counselor with children. She traveled around the world extensively, learning about different cultures, languages and doing da’wah work. She speaks French, Turkish and Spanish.
As a mother, Eylem understands the importance of finding a care giver that you can trust and share similar values and vision in life. Edil Jama, Placement Counselor
Edil is an alumni of the University of Washington with a focus in Public Health. She has worked in the education and healthcare sector for over a decade and most recently has been working to place healthcare workers with families in need. She is passionate about helping families find the care they need for their loved ones which can be an overwhelming experience but with her patience, experience and dedication, finding the right person for your child/children is her top priority. She has background in maternity support services and enjoyed helping families get ready to take on the challenge of pregnancy and early parenthood.
Edil is also a mother of two daughters and knows first hand the process a family goes through to find the right person to help take care of their children. “It can be the most difficult decision a parent has to make and it is also important for the child to have a loving and nurturing caregiver. With Muslim Nannies™ we take on the burden of finding the right person for your family and take every step to try and ensure that person shares your values and beliefs.” Compassion, reliability and respect is her top criteria when vetting potential new Nannies and Sitters.
She currently resides in the Atlanta area having moved a few years ago from Seattle, WA.

Areba holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and has also worked as a children’s librarian for many years. Working with children has helped her understand the care and attention they need. Additionally, Areba is a mother of two beautiful children. Her personal and professional experience, helps her to understand the importance of finding a great caregiver who understands their family’s values and is trustworthy.

TA serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Shahed Amanullah currently serves as CEO & co-founder of LaunchPosse, a Washington DC-based startup that helps people turn entrepreneurial ideas into reality by leveraging their social networks. Advisor, Chris Blauvelt, Founder of LaunchGood
Chris is a passionate Muslim American entrepreneur committed to building up the global Muslim community to reach its full potential. He was born in Malaysia, raised in the United States and at the age of 16 became a Muslim through the influence of a friend and the Autobiography of Malcolm X. Chris was a top engineering graduate from the University of Michigan where he led the Muslim Students Association as President to win Student Organization of the Year. He received a masters in educational leadership and prior to starting LaunchGood was a teacher at one of the top boarding schools in the world. He also founded an Arabic non-profit, and was a producer for Bilal’s Stand an award-winning Sundance film about an American Muslim. He started working on LaunchGood in 2011 and launched the site in 2013. In just over a year LaunchGood has already helped raise over $1 million for more than 100 projects across 13 countries. Chris currently lives in Dearborn, Michigan with his wife Amani and new daughter Maryam Yusra and is an active community volunteer for University Muslim life and new Muslim work.

Malika has been a doula and childbirth educator since 2008. Through her company, The DC Doula, she provides support to pregnant women, providing evidence based education and resources in addition to supporting them through childbirth. In her other career, Malika obtained Masters degrees in Social Work and Education from Columbia University and Baruch College in New York City. She has served as faculty at Case Western Reserve, West Chester University and The University of Southern California. In her spare time, Malika enjoys practicing yoga, learning about natural healing and spending time with her son and husband.

She believes that Khadijah has a talent for identifying community needs and executing a plan to address them.
