Khadijah Abdullah, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Khadijah Abdullah is the Founder and CEO of Muslim Nannies. A former Nanny and mother to a beautiful daughter, Khadijah knows first hand the challenges of finding quality care. She created this platform with a family like you in mind, to connect families with nannies who share the same values and beliefs.
Saadia Alam, Chief Operations Officer (COO)
Saadia is a mother of two who also works full-time at the United States Pharmacopeia as a Chemical Safety Information Specialist. She had a challenging time finding reliable childcare for her two children, so she understands the stress and anxiety many families go through in order to find dependable care. With her years of experience going through various childcare options, from daycares to in-home nannies to babysitters, she developed a keen eye for finding trustworthy service. Saadia is eager to use her expertise with the Muslim Nannies team to support and encourage families to find their match.
Advisor, Shahed Amanullah, Founder of Affinis Labs
TA serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Shahed Amanullah currently serves as CEO & co-founder of LaunchPosse, a Washington DC-based startup that helps people turn entrepreneurial ideas into reality by leveraging their social networks. Prior to starting LaunchPosse, Shahed served as Senior Advisor for Technology at the US Department of State, where he worked in the bureaus of Secretaries of State John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, and was responsible for building the Generation Change and Viral Peace projects. Shahed worked closely with the White House and other agencies on social entrepreneurship, social media policy, combating online extremism, and fostering innovation.

Advisor, Chris Blauvelt, Founder of LaunchGood
Chris is a passionate Muslim American entrepreneur committed to building up the global Muslim community to reach its full potential. He was born in Malaysia, raised in the United States and at the age of 16 became a Muslim through the influence of a friend and the Autobiography of Malcolm X. Chris was a top engineering graduate from the University of Michigan where he led the Muslim Students Association as President to win Student Organization of the Year. He received a masters in educational leadership and prior to starting LaunchGood was a teacher at one of the top boarding schools in the world. He also founded an Arabic non-profit, and was a producer for Bilal’s Stand an award-winning Sundance film about an American Muslim. He started working on LaunchGood in 2011 and launched the site in 2013. In just over a year LaunchGood has already helped raise over $1 million for more than 100 projects across 13 countries. Chris currently lives in Dearborn, Michigan with his wife Amani and new daughter Maryam Yusra and is an active community volunteer for University Muslim life and new Muslim work.

Advisor, Malika Hook Muhammad, Owner The DC Doula
Malika has been a doula and childbirth educator since 2008. Through her company, The DC Doula, she provides support to pregnant women, providing evidence based education and resources in addition to supporting them through childbirth. In her other career, Malika obtained Masters degrees in Social Work and Education from Columbia University and Baruch College in New York City. She has served as faculty at Case Western Reserve, West Chester University and The University of Southern California. In her spare time, Malika enjoys practicing yoga, learning about natural healing and spending time with her son and husband.
Confidence, connectivity and resourcefulness are the traits that Malika admires in Khadijah. She believes that Khadijah has a talent for identifying community needs and executing a plan to address them. Malika is excited to support this project, as she recognizes the value of finding quality childcare when other responsibilities take you away from your loved ones.

Jenny is the Co-Owner of Dawah International, LLC, a successful blogger, and highly requested motivational speaker. She is a social media influencer, featured in or on Dr. Phil, REDBOOK, CNN, Black Enterprise Magazine, Ebony Magazine, MSN.com, The LA Times, Reuters, Loop21, New York Magazine/The Cut, The American Prospect Magazine, Google News, Lagos Times (Nigeria), and a host of other magazine and radio shows. She is a marriage expert, better half of Ebony Magazine’s Couple of the Year for 2012, spotlighted as one of 14 most inspiring Black Couples for 2013 and honored with a Standard Award in Business.. She has co-authored three books and even gave The Real Housewives of Atlanta a little wisdom. As a mother of three boys, Mikail 26, Musa 24 & Muhammad 22, she knows the trials and tribulations of not only raising children, but African-American men who could end up as stereotypes. She is passionate about family and detouring young men and women from the criminal justice system. As a motivational speaker, some of the subjects she speaks about are dysfunctional families, substance abuse, entrepreneurship, marriage & relationships, self-conscious addictions, incarceration, stereotypes and the list goes on.
Jenny is honored to join the Muslim Nannies team and stands behind Khadijah’s passion as go-getter that’s taking the lead in providing solutions for a segmented need.
